OUR FOUNDING STORY
Our founder, the late Abdul Salam Abu Issa, arrived in Qatar with a
camera and a visionary spirit. His vision was not just to capture
moments but to grasp the essence of Qatar’s evolving landscape.
In 1952, he brought this vision to life by establishing SALAM STUDIO,
Qatar’s first photo studio. This marked the beginning of our legacy of
excellence and innovation in luxury retail.


OUR FOUNDING STORY
Expanded our offerings to fashion, beauty, home,luggage, food & beverage, and consumer electronics, we rebranded to Salam Studio and Stores, showcasing our commitment to luxury diversity. Relocating to a larger showroom marked a pivotal milestone in our journey.
SECOND GEN GROWTH
In the 1980’s, Abdul Salam Abu Issa’s sons propelled the family business into a new era of growth. Their strategic vision diversified our portfolio, establishing Salam Studio and Stores as a key player in Qatar. We relocated to Salam Plaza, now known as The Gate, a bustling shopping complex in Doha’s West Bay district.


MERGER & EXPANSION
Salam Studio and Stores, along with other ventures, merged into Salam International, a conglomerate listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange, symbolizing Qatar’s economic prowess and global ambition. Within this expanded framework, Salam Studio & Stores maintained its legacy of excellence and innovation within Salam International’s diversified portfolio.
